• Safety is our highest priority when serving with the projects team. Each shift will have a safety briefing before any work begins.

• A few things to keep in mind before you arrive:

1. Wardrobe Matters: We will have each volunteer wear a SERVE 6.8 t-shirt. Also, please have closed toed shoes, long pants, work gloves, water and a snack.
2. Safety Briefing: The safety briefing is mandatory and will start at the beginning of the shift. Because of this, please make every effort to arrive on time.
3. Age & Ability: Because we care about our volunteers and don't want you to sign up for a project that won't be a good fit, we will note on each projects if there is an age limit, skilled labor required, or heavy lifting needs.
4. Liability Waiver: Each volunteer will be required to sign a statement of faith and liability waiver before serving. In the event that you want to get a head start on check-in, you can print and fill it out early to bring to your shift here.

I've signed up to serve, what should I expect?

1. Volunteer Check In: There will be a check-in table to sign in and grab a t-shirt.
2. Breakout & "The Why": Before the work begins, we will pull you together to share why we are here, what we are doing, and how we are impacting the community through this project.
3. Safety Briefing: This safety briefing is very important so it is required for each volunteer.
4. Training & Breakout: After the safety briefing, we will split you into groups and provide additional training and begin the days work.

For everyone's safety, nobody under the age of 14 is allowed to serve around heavy equipment. Teens between 14 and 16 must have a parent on site while teens 16 to 18 may serve without a parent, but must have a parent signed liability waiver before serving. You may print the waiver below and bring it with you to your shift.

If there is no age requirement listed, the project is open to everyone!
