There are so many needs, and together, the churches of New Mexico are working to best serve families as they navigate their recovery. Here are a few ways you can support the effort and serve families in your community:

1. Operation Sandbag: Join the Operation Sandbag team to build sandbags to mitigate localized flooding risk in the community. This work is limited to volunteer 14 and older. It can be difficult work, but there are roles for folks with physical limitations.
2. Disaster Care Team: The care team is a great option for any Christian seeking to reach out to families directly impacted by the fire to help them navigate the next steps towards recovery.
3. Feeding: Join the feeding team to provide hot meals to families impacted by the fire and large volunteer teams serving families throughout the community.
4. Projects Team: Come join the projects team as we serve with Samaritan's Purse to help our local families after the fire. Learn more about how to get involved by filling out the information below.
5. Las Vegas Resource Center Team: The Resource Center team is assisting fire impacted families near Las Vegas with immediate needs such as food, basic necessities, & initial case management.

When you arrive, here is what you can expect:

1. Volunteer Check In: When you arrive, you will check in. We will gather your information, have you sign a waiver, etc.
2. Breakout & "The Why": When the shift begins, we will start by pulling all volunteers and leaders together. We will share why we are here, the impact you will have, and how together we are serving the community through this response.
3. Serving begins! Whatever you are doing, leaders will be there to support you!

In order to keep everyone safe, children under 14 are not allowed to serve with the projects team or near heavy equipment. Teens between 14 and 16 must have a parent on site. Teens 16 to 18 may serve without a parent, but must have a parent signed liability waiver on their behalf before serving. You may print the waiver below and bring it with you to your shift.
