"Many years ago, I took the spiritual gift survey. It was very clear, “serving” is my greatest attribute. And what brings me the greatest joy is serving people in the community through my church and through SERVE 6.8. Coming alongside those in need, and being the hands and feet of our Lord and Savior Jesus."
"Serving here since March 2020, has had a huge impact on my life. I have grown in my faith and experienced purpose and belonging here! And not just me, my whole family. We look forward to each opportunity to serve within the SERVE 6.8 community! There is something for everyone here. We keep coming back because we want to make a difference in our community and share God’s love. Added bonus… we’ve made meaningful and lasting friendships too."
"When I first began it was just another Christian service organization doing good things to help people and the community. Over time it has changed to something more powerful and rewarding. The hard work feels like a celebration. Proverbs 11:24-25 says “One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” For me, the hard work “refreshes me”. I not only get to help the weak, but I am also refreshed; experiencing the peace and joy that can only come from our Lord Jesus Christ. I can come to serve for a few hours and feel good that I did something, or I can commit to being the hands and feet of Christ and become “REFRESHED”! Be prepared to learn something too as you will find, if your teachable, that you will learn much from the leadership as to why we serve others. It isn’t about changing people's lives (which it does); it brings JOY to our Lord and Savior, Jesus.  That my friends is truly refreshing!."
